I-Corps™ at GW

DC I-Corps
Calling All GW Innovators & Researchers!

I-Corps is a National Science Foundation program designed to foster, grow and nurture innovation ecosystems regionally and nationally.

The program provides real world, hands-on training on how to successfully incorporate innovations into successful products. The ultimate goal is to create a new venture or licensing opportunity for program participants, and to learn the valuable process of business model generation and customer discovery.

I-Corps at GW offers Regional Introductory Courses to introduce the GW community to the I-Corps program. These are held regularly at GW

All GW professors, research staff, post docs, graduate students, and undergraduate students with potentially commercializable research or technology-based business ideas are eligible to participate. Both the Regional Introductory Course and the National I-Corps Program are free, with $3,000 support funding available to accepted teams through the GW I-Corps Site program and $50,000 for those that qualify for the NSF I-Corps National program.

A team that completes in the Regional Introductory Course or the GW I-Corps Site program becomes eligible to apply to the NSF National I-Corps Program.

The program is sponsored by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and jointly run by the George Washington University, University of Maryland, Virginia Tech, and Johns Hopkins University.
